Who We Are
In-home balanced dog training located in Northern NJ. We work with any size, breed, or age! We like to think of ourselves as Educators more than just Trainers. We pride ourselves on our ability to educate our clients on how to get their pup feeling the most confident and comfortable so that our clients can enjoy the life they have with their companions!
Our Approach
All your appointments will take place in-home or out at a local park. This is based on your needs and what you would like to work on with your dog. We don’t offer any packages or plans to choose from because we believe it should be up to our clients to decide what they want to work on with their pup since they are the ones that live, sleep, and eat with them.
Along with our training sessions, we offer full after session support for any follow up questions or concerns you may have as you begin to work with your pup.
Meet The Owner
Craig Layne, Owner/Trainer
Craig fondly remembers being asked to train his first dog at 14 years old, working with a neighbors young German Shepherd on exposure, socialization, and basic commands. After spending 7 years educating adults on various topics within the medical field, Craig jumped back into dog training and established Obedient K9 to further fulfill his need to help people. This time, though, he wanted to help people connect with their furry family members.
Our mission is to provide owners with the necessary education and tools to live happier and healthier lives with their canine companions. Craig believes that by tailoring the training to each dog and owner as well as adding the right tools, hard work, patience, and persistence, any dog can be a “good dog”
